Dayplanner won her Balanced Image Stake elimination for two-year-old trotters in 2:05.3, on the all trotters card at Hanover Raceway. Now four-for-four for owner and breeder Brenda Walker, the Oaklea Julian sired Dayplanner has earned $41,000. Click here to read the complete story.

Coming in second in the race was Julians Jewel - Oaklea Julian - Peachpit Pearl.

Oaklea Farm, together with Oaklea Julian, have enjoyed a very successful year in 2011. Starting out with OAKLEA TORPEDO (Mutineer-Oaklea Fawnl) and OAKLEA TIARA (Duke of York- Oaklea Nell) winning their respective finals of the Central Huron Trotting Series, then continuing into the Grassroots Series with the talented two-year old trotting filly SEEKING A DREAM (Kadabra- Oaklea Ida) winning her last two events as well as the tough two-year old colt.

BALLYKEEL ULYSSES (Oaklea Julian- Bay Oaks) who also has two Grassroot victories to his credit. Additionally Oaklea Julian’s offspring have popped up everywhere. His two–year old filly DAYPLANNER is perfect in her three Grassroot tests while his two-year old colt JAKE BE NIMBLE has dominated his foes in his two grassroot victories. His very fast three-year old colt DELCREST JULIAN was a recent 1.54.2 winner in his Canadian Breeders Championship elimination, followed by a second place finish in a Flamboro Gold Final.

This year Oaklea Farm boasts ten yearlings for the Canadian Open sale on September 10th, 11th. 2011. Among this offering is a powerful Kadabra filly from Chippies Victory, a flashy first crop Muscle Mass colt from multiple stakes winner Kind Gesture, a very athletic Ken Warkentin filly from Bronx Bombshell and a strong Oaklea Julian colt from the $250,000 winner Semiconchess and, a full sister to Oaklea Samantha, a track record holder at Hiawatha.
